Our Chapter. On a bright, sunny afternoon in 1976, five energetic young ladies gathered at the home of Charlie and Willard Ward on Plum Street in Thomasville, Georgia. The mission of the gathering was the sharing of ideals and visions of the sisterhood that is currently known as Thomasville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. After much investigation, the young ladies united with the Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter and worked for two years to gain a better understanding of the need for a chapter in South Georgia. With the assistance of Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter, the Thomasville Alumnae Chapter was born.
